The Lodge: Born of Friendship
The story of Sundance Mt. Lodge goes beyond just the Wallace family. Tony and his business partner Steve King decided long ago that they wanted to build the ultimate snowmobile and recreation lodge, allowing them to live their dream of leading snowmobile tours for friends and guests.
Tony and Steve ran a successful construction firm near Seattle, WA at the time, and enjoyed traveling to find new and interesting places to ride their snowmobiles. Their passion for the outdoors led them to purchase 160 acres in Northern Idaho. There they built one of the finest lodges in the region. Unfortunately Steve never truly saw the full dream become reality, as he fell ill and passed just prior to the lodge opening. Steve’s spirit is carried on through Tony & Mary Lea, and his watchful “eye in the sky” is still called upon when an extra foot of snow is needed.
